LOVE God. LOVE People. rePresent the LOVE of Christ in all that we do. Scriptural Foundation: ..Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked. 1 John 2:6 Jesus answered, "I am theway and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6
Who We Are: - We are a body of believers living out the ways of Christ presented to us through God's word. - We are a body of believers showing others the way to Christ and how to live for Christ, using God's word as our foundation. - We are a body of believers leading the way in our homes, in our community, at our workplace and wherever we may be.
Why Do We Do: Our job is to - Help each other figure out the way to go - Help others move toward starting the journey. - Help each other along the way
We are all working toward getting “there” that is the commonality that we all have. Every human being has a God-given purpose. It's left up to each individual to discover what that is. We can't tell you what your purpose is, but we are committed to helping you figure it out and providing support along the way to fulfilling it.
What we Believe:
"There is one Body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called into one hope of your calling: One Lord, One faith, and One baptism; One God, and Father of all, who is above all, and in you all." Ephesians 4:4-6
About the Bible: We believe in the Bible. The Holy Scriptures of the Old Testament and New Testament are the inerrant, inspired, and infallible Word of God. It is true without any mixture of error and is the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried. God’s Word is the final authority for faith and life.
About God: What we believe about God: We believe there is only one living and true God who is the only Supreme Divine Creator of the universe, its elements and inhabitants. We believe that He is the only true, wise, and living God who is the essence of love. We believe that God has chosen to reveal himself as one Being that is God, exists three (3) co-equal and co-eternal persons; namely Himself as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe that He is omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, sovereign, infinite, immutable, and self-existent with no beginning or end. He alone is worthy of all honor, worship, and praise.
About Jesus Christ: We believe Jesus is God relative to Deity, the Son of God relative to the Trinity, and Lord of all relative to sovereignty. We believe that He, who is God, descended from Heaven and became flesh to voluntarily die as the atoning sacrifice for the sins of humanity. We believe that His deity and perfection were secured through the Virgin Birth. We believe Jesus became man without ceasing to be God and therefore lived a sinless life. His atoning death at Calvary would cleanse us of sins and reconcile us back to God. We believe that He experienced a bodily resurrection three (3) days after His death and ascended back to Heaven forty (40) days later. We believe that the only way a person can have a true, forgiven relationship with God is through Jesus Christ. Receiving Christ as our personal Lord & Savior will ultimately grant us eternal life with Him in Heaven. We believe that Jesus stands in intercession for the believers. Rejecting Him as Lord & Savior will ultimately result in eternal damnation in Hell
About the Holy Spirit: We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit, who regenerates unbelievers, the evidence of which is repentance, faith, and newness of life. We believe that the Holy Spirit is God’s Spirit given to indwell every Christian at the moment of salvation. We believe that the ministries, gifts, and fruit of the Holy Spirit are active in the life of every believer. We believe that the Holy Spirit distributes gifts by His own sovereignty. We embrace the expression and exercise of these gifts within our church for its edification according to the Word of God. We believe that the Holy Spirit is our Sanctifier, Comforter, Keeper, and Revelator of truth onto eternal life.
About Man: We believe man was created in the image of God and was intended to have fellowship with God the father. The sin of Adam (the first man) marred that image, creating an eternal divide between God and man. Every person is born in sin and us under the just condemnation of the Holy and Righteous God.
About Salvation: We believe God offers salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. We receive eternal life as a free gift and it must be received by faith alone through God’s grace alone. The life that comes from this gift is a permanent possession of the one receiving it. This Gospel of Salvation should be shared with every person in the world.
About the Church: We believe the church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a local body of baptized believers associated with their faith in Jesus Christ and the fellowship of the Gospel. Their mission is to enlarge God’s kingdom. The local church is autonomous, free of any external authority or control. We believe that baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Communion) the provision of bread and the fruit of the vine representing the body and blood of Christ are the two ordinances of the church.
